I have really been enjoying creating Autumn and Halloween-themed props for my photography recently. And I thought I would share them with you! From spell book covers, Halloween-themed newspapers, and of course a magic wand. All are super simple to make and print off for you to use in your photography or even just as decorative items in your house. You will need accesss to a printer for the covers and newspaper.
They make awesome props for photography. You can use the newspaper as a background for flat lays or glue them together to make a whole newspaper prop. The book covers will need to be cut to size and you can use tape or glue depending on how permanent you want to make the covers.
You can get your hands on the Newspaper Portrait Printable Here, Newspaper Landscape Printable Here and the Spell Book Covers Here.
As for making the wand, you will need:
A wand shaped stick
A mix of brown and black acrylic paint
Superglue
Twine
Find a stick that is wand-like in shape. This will help with getting it to look good in the first place.
Take the twine and wrap it around the stick. I created a handle at the bottom of the stick and then used the twine to spiral around the top.
Glue in place with superglue and leave to set.
Once the glue is dry you can then paint your wand. Paint it all over including the handle. This gives the best wand-like vibes.
Leave to dry.
And ta-da a simple wand ready for use in your photographs!
