There’s one thing that unites us more than the lack of sleep as parents and that’s teething. There’s no escape no matter what. With Edith teething wasn’t too difficult. Her teeth arrived one after the after and things ran relatively smoothly. One thing I’ve learnt as parent, the second time around, is that just when you think you know what you’re doing as a parent the new baby throws everything on its head.
Norah has teethed slowly, and it can get her down. We’ve tried a lot of teething remedies in the past and not all of them work. Both girls would happily chomp on their fists but neither would use the teething toys. No matter how much we’ve tried. The only thing Norah likes is her Yummikeys so we rely a lot on gels to soothe her teeth.
Recently we’ve been using Nelson’s Teetha Teething Gel and Granules. The Teetha granules are something we’ve never tried before. We used a spoon to make things easier.
The gel contains Chamomilla to help relive teething pain, Belladonna to help relive flushed cheeks and dribbling and Aconite to help sore and tender gums. The gel is super simple to use. A pea sized amount on your finger and then rub on baby’s gums and teeth, which can be repeated every four hours up to 6 times a day.
We got on with the gel a lot better as it was easy to apply, and Norah isn’t a fan of keeping still for very long. The gel is also great to pop into your changing bag when you’re on the go!
So, while teething is something that we can’t escape as parents there are ways of making things easier for our little ones which makes things easier for us.
Teetha is super easy to get hold off and is available at Boots, Superdrug and Holland & Barret.
