How I Curl My Hair

I often get asked about the way I curl my hair so I thought it was about time that I put together a tutorial to show you guys! It is really simple and I find that the curls last a few days (until the next wash) in my hair. So here goes.

Step one – Brush through all of your hair. It needs to be knot free to make it easier to section.

Step two – Part your hair the normal way and divide your hair in half. I don’t use clips or anything to hold mine back I kind of just fling it over my shoulder.

Step three – Take a quarter of your divided hair on your left side. Take your hair curling wand (I use a medium sized barrel, that’s the same size all the way up) Hold the section of hair and wrap it around the curling wand. You wrap from the top down using a clockwise motion. I normally start my curls where my ears sit, not getting too close to my roots. The end of your hair should be pointing towards your face. Hold until your hair feels hot. It’s normally around 30 seconds depending on how thick your hair is!

Step four – Repeat for the right side of hair but wrap anti-clockwise instead. Once curled lightly brush through your hair and spray with hairspray.

And that’s it super simple. Just a case of wrapping your hair around the wand. I hope that makes sense! I’ve found it’s the best way to achieve those beachy curls!

Let me know if you give it a go!
