Last Thursday we were invited down to London by Baby Jogger for an event all about their new pushchair the City Select Lux. As huge Baby Jogger fans we were very excited. We’ve loved using our City Tour. It lives in our car and is perfect for days out, you can unfold it and off you go and when it’s folded up it’s light enough for even pregnant Mamas to lift.
I’ve not been to a blogger event since 2012 and considering that’s the year I launched my blog it’s been a very long time. But we knew we had to make it down for such a special event at such a gorgeous location. We left at 8:45am and got home that evening at 8:45pm. It was a long old day and the 6 hour round trip really took it out of us but we had so much fun it was worth every second.
I met some of the gorgeous bloggers and Mama’s I speak to online and Edith was recognised before I was. Can you tell who features on my Instagram feed the most haha? Everyone was just lovely and I really enjoyed networking and talking to like-minded Mama’s.
The lovely Helen Skelton was a guest speaker at the event talking about her young family. Having two under two and giving birth on her kitchen floor. She was so lovely and had so many great tips for life with two babies. It involves a lot of baby wipes and Quavers! Helen uses the City Select Lux herself so it was really nice to hear how someone got on with it. There is so much confusion around pushchairs and even more about double pushchairs. Which come March is something we will need.
The City Select Lux has 20 configurations with is rather impressive. We fell in love with the bench seat. As did Edith who didn’t want to get out of it. I really didn’t know what to do about a double pushchair and as much as people tried to convince us that we didn’t need one the sheer amount of walking we do makes me think we do, and after seeing the City Select Lux I now know what pushchair we need!
The event ended with afternoon tea, cocktails and mocktails for us pregnant Mama’s. It was such a lovely event and I’m so glad we made the effort for the trip. Edith was so well behaved in London and with the car journeys, she decided to make up for it the next day haha!
Baby Jogger paid for travel expenses for the event. However all thoughts and opinions are my own. Thank you to the brands who support Little Paper Swans.
