The Cucumber Gin & QCumber Sparkling Water were sent to me for the purpose of an honest review. All thoughts and opinions are my own. Thank you to the brands who continue to support Little Paper Swans.
Autumn might be here but the recent warmer weather we’ve been having makes me feel like drinking summer drinks again. I mean no cocktails for me but a mocktail can be just as nice! Of course cucumber gin is not just for summer, oh no.
The English Drinks Company have cleverly come up with a brand new cocktail each month for you to try which means you’re never stuck for a drinks idea.
It would make a wonderful Christmas gift for gin lovers (can I mention Christmas yet?)or the perfect drink to pop in your drinks cupboard. This months cocktail recipe is called Bringing In The Harvest. Autumnal flavours blended with the beautiful cucumber gin. The combination of pear liqueur and lemon juice blend beautifully with the cucumber gin.
We didn’t attempt this months recipe as I can’t drink it (boo, as soon as baby comes I will definitely be trying it for myself) however we kept things simple with the gin with just a bit of lime and lemonade and it went down a treat for my husband.
I didn’t have to miss out completely and had the Qcumber Sparkling Water instead. I used the cucumber infused sparkling water with a dash of lime. It was so nice and I’m not even a fan of cucumber. Qcumber suggest serving it on its own, with gin or vodka or even in Pimms. That sounds like an incredible mix of drinks. Can it be next summer already?
Qcumber sparkling water is available to buy from Ocado, The Co-operative and other retailers listed here. The cucumber gin is available from selected Marks & Spencer, Majestic Wines and other retailers listed here.
